Exercise IS Medicine!

You Know Exercise is Important
Did you know exercise helps treat and prevent more than 40 chronic diseases including diabetes, heart disease, obesity and hypertension? Approximately one-third of cancer deaths in the U.S. each year can be attributed to poor diet and physical inactivity.

 

Today, too much focus is put on exercise for weight loss. Share the goal of exercising for overall, life-long health. Other benefits such as weight loss, reduced stress, better circulation and increased strength and agility will follow.

As a fitness professional, you play an important role in promoting exercise to everyone. Make a pledge now to support our efforts to educate the public about the health benefits of exercise during Exercise is Medicine™ Month, work with health care providers to sign on more clients and get people moving!
