Exercise IS Medicine!
You Know Exercise is Good for You
The hardest part is getting started. You just did! Most people don't need to see their doctor before starting a physical activity program, but take this simple physical activity questionnaire to help determine your readiness. Regardless of your health status, talking to your health care provider about your physical fitness level at your next appointment is a smart idea. Take this Note to Health Care Providers and your completed questionnaire to get the conversation started. Don't delay. Your physician will provide a physical assessment and a referral to a fitness expert if needed.

Overcome Your Obstacles
Regular exercise is a commitment. We all have obstacles to overcome. Poor health, low fitness level, finding time, seemingly high cost and lack of motivation are just a few. Find out your Barriers to Exercise and tackle them head on.

How Much is Enough?
Before getting started, read about physical activity guidelines. Healthy adults should strive for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise five days per week. Now get moving!

Inspire Action. Share Your Story.
Why do you exercise? Why not? Do you talk to your physician about exercise? What are your barriers to exercise? How have you overcome them? Tell us about it!
